The Transaction Explorer is the module of the Document Agility system for viewing Transactions that have been Finalized and placed into folders. It is similar to a standard file tree viewer that shows hierarchies of folders along with the contents of any particular folder.
The Transaction Explorer screen is divided into two sections. The left section shows your organization's available folders arranged in a folder tree hierarchy as shown below:
TIP: The folder you see in the folder tree may depend upon you User Group's folder viewing rights.
The right side of the screen shows the folder contents - the transactions and folders that are contained within the folder that is highlighted in the left side folder tree as shown below:
TIP: Transactions that have a status of In Progress are not displayed in the Transaction Explorer. Until a transaction is marked as being Finalized, it will be displayed in the My Workspace screen of all Users in any User Group that has at one time performed an action on the transaction.
Accessing the Transaction Explorer
To access the Transaction Explorer screen, log in to the Document Agility system and from the main menu click the Transactions button.
Navigating the Transaction Explorer
The root folder for any organization is named Content Root. By default each user group has permissions to view this root folder, and the root folder may not be deleted.
View a Folder's Contents - To view the contents of a particular folder, select the folder from the left side folder tree on the by clicking on it. This will display the contents of the folder on the right side of the screen. Any given folder may contain other folders and/or transactions.
To drill down into a sub folder, click the arrow to the left of the parent folder to expand the sub folders below it. Then you may select any sub folder to view its contents.
TIP: To drill down into a sub folder you must use navigation of the left side folder tree. Clicking on a folder in the right side folder contents area (if you have the appropriate permissions) will open a folder properties editing window.
WARNING: Because the Content Root folder can be viewed by all members of User Groups, it is important not to put any transactions directly into this folder that are not intended to be publicly available to add system Users.
View a Transaction - To view an individual transaction, click on the name of the transaction from within the right side folder properties area. This will bring you to the Transaction Details screen for the selected transaction.
Moving Transactions and Folders
To move one or more transactions or folders to another folder, select the checkbox to the left of any transactions or folders you would like to move. Then click the Move Selected button just above the left side of the folder contents area. In the Move Items popup that is then displayed, verify your list of items to be moved, then highlight the folder to which the items should be moved, and click the Move button. If you choose not to move the items, click the Cancel button.
Working with Folders
If you have permissions to work with folders, the Transaction Explorer screen will allow you to create, edit and delete folders. For more information on these actions, please see the Working with Folders topic.
